Dear Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES) community,

The CSES Module 6 Planning Committee is nearing the end of its work, and a new CSES Module 7 Planning Committee will take its place next year (2023).

According to CSES guidelines, the CSES Planning Committee membership turns over approximately 50% from one module to the next. Therefore, the CSES project has established a Nominating Committee to consider the composition of the new Planning Committee.

The CSES Module 7 Nominating Committee consists of three persons – Ali Çarkoğlu (Koç University, Turkey), Rachel Meneguello (UNICAM, Brazil), and Elizabeth Zechmeister (Vanderbilt University, United States, chair).

We are writing to ask you to nominate potential members of the new CSES Module 7 Planning Committee. Self-nominations are accepted. If you wish to nominate anyone for membership on the Module 7 Planning Committee, please send the name(s) of the person(s) you are nominating and a brief description of your reason for suggesting them by email to: [email protected]

The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 10, 2023.

The composition of the new Module 7 Planning Committee will be brought to the CSES collaborators for confirmation at a CSES Plenary Meeting after that.

Prior Planning Committee rosters can be found at the project website. Planning Committee members lead the development of the next CSES Module, provide direction to the CSES Secretariat, serve on various subcommittees, and contribute in other ways to the collaborative project. Planning Committee meetings are held one to two times per year at host institutions around the world.

Thank you in advance for your nominations!
