Dear CSES Community,
We want to make you aware of some presentation opportunities related to the CSES project.
First, we are assisting in organizing a panel titled “The impact of institutions” to be held at the European Consortium of Political Research (ECPR) General Conference in Montreal, Canada, during August 26-29, 2015. This will not be a CSES panel as such, but rather a panel on the impact of institutions, in which we expect most (but not all) of the four papers to be based on CSES. To propose a paper, please email a title, list of authors, and abstract to panel organizer John Aldrich (firstname.lastname@example.org). Paper proposals must be received by John on or before January 19, 2015 to be considered for inclusion.
Second, we have the opportunity to propose a paper for inclusion in the panel “Global Societal Change” at the annual meeting of the European Survey Research Association (ESRA) in Reykjavik, Iceland during July 13-17, 2015. This session is to focus is on the 1) impact of globalization on attitudes and behaviors across countries, 2) whether there are signs of convergence, and 3) the role of cohort turnover in shaping global societal change. If you would be interested in preparing a paper on this topic using CSES data, please send an email to David Howell (email@example.com) on or before January 9, 2015. Please include in your email a suggested title, authors, and a brief abstract.
If you would be interested to organize a CSES-specific panel at a conference, please let us know of your idea by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we would be glad to coordinate with you in that regard. You may also email us at that same address to make us aware of your presentations and publications which make use of CSES, for inclusion in our online bibliography.
