February 2, 2012

Dear CSES user community,

We hope things are well with all of you. We have some important news we want to provide for our collaborators who run election studies which are to be included in CSES:

CSES MODULE 3 – ALL ELECTION STUDIES MUST BE DEPOSITED BY JUNE 30, 2012

As you are aware, data collection for CSES Module 3 was complete as of the middle of 2011. We would like to produce the final version of CSES Module 3 as soon as possible. With that in mind, to be included in the CSES Module 3 final release, collaborators must deposit datasets and all related documents with the CSES Secretariat on or before June 30, 2012. That is a little less than five months from now. Please be in contact by email with David Howell ([email protected] / [email protected]) as soon as possible to let him know when you will be able to deposit the items for your election study. He will let you know which items are required to be deposited and he is glad to answer any questions you have about the process.

CSES MODULE 4

The new CSES Module 4 questionnaire has been posted since July 15, 2011 on the CSES website under “Collaborator Resources”. If you think you may run a national post-election study in your nation during the period 2011-2016 and might be interested in becoming a CSES collaborator, please be in contact David Howell at the email addresses above, if you have not done so already.

Thank you for your assistance on these matters, and thank you for your support of the CSES project!

Best regards,
André Blais
