Re: CSES Announcement: A new version of CSES Module 2 is now available
Date: June 29, 2005

Dear CSES User Community,

We are very pleased to announce the availability of the third advance release (June 29, 2005 version) of CSES Module 2. This version includes ten new election studies, bringing the total to 26. Macro data are now present for all election studies in the dataset. Numerous other improvements have been made to the data and documentation, including some changes to items that appeared in past versions of the files.

We would like to thank all of our collaborators for including CSES Module 2 in their election studies! Without their efforts, the CSES would not exist. The election studies that have been newly added as of this release are: Australia 2004, Belgium 2003, Brazil 2002, Denmark 2001, Finland 2003, Hong Kong 2004, Iceland 2003, Korea 2004, Spain 2004, and the United States 2004.

The new CSES Module 2 dataset is now available for free, public download from the CSES website (www.cses.org). On the main page, select “Data Center” to the left, then register if you have not already. After that, click on “CSES Module 2” – either the U.S. site, or the European mirror site, depending on where you are geographically located. The next page that comes up contains a link to download the dataset to your local computer.

If you have questions, please contact us at e-mail address [email protected] and we are glad to help.

Best regards,
-Dave
