Re: CSES Announcement: New Data Set, New Web Page, and APSA Public Meeting
Date: July 27, 2002

Dear CSES User Community,

We are pleased to make three announcements:

1. Our website address has changed. It is now http://www.cses.org. Not only has the address changed, but at the same time we have made a number of improvements to the website’s navigation and ease of use, many of which are based on comments received from users like yourself.

2. The full CSES Module 1 Merged Micro-District-Macro dataset (July 26, 2002 version) is now available for download. It contains 62409 records from a total of 39 election studies, and has undergone extensive cleaning since the last release of March 18, 2002. The file is located on the CSES website http://www.cses.org – from the main page, select “Download Data”, then register, and then select “CSES Module 1: 1996-2001”.

3. For those of you attending the American Political Science Association (APSA) Annual Meeting this year in Boston, USA, there will be a CSES Public Meeting held from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. on Friday, August 30, 2002 in the Boston College room at the Marriott Copley Place hotel. We hope to see you there!

Please feel free to contact us at e-mail address [email protected] with any questions you might have.

We thank you very much for your support of the CSES!
